TUNES BY THE TRACKS is spring loaded, and inbound for a Wednesday, MAR 18 arrIval at the Clifton Springs library.
Your congenitally convivial hosts, Jim Clare, Cathy McGrath, and Allen Hopkins, are ultra pleased to welcome back our dear friend, and a perennial Tracker favorite as Feature:
~ DAVE NORTH ~
Dave became an American citizen shortly after he arrived on our shores as a young footballer...that's Soccer to us Americans...and promptly concluded that he'd found a home.
He matriculated at SUNY Oneonta, to perfect his American accent, and he learned to talk just like us Trackers.
We're real happy that Dave has stayed a while, to share his magnificent guitar and vocal gifts with us.
Dave is a pillar of Tunes By the Tracks. He nearly always shows up to support our shows, and he frequently adds a song as a Mystery Picker. Whenever we can, we welcome the chance to present a full Dave North show.
Dave is the compleat package. He's an accomplished guitarist, with a distinctive picking style, that complements his compelling mastery of vocals, from ditties and story songs. Plus, Dave's got the pipes to sing the heart wrenchingly beautiful Irish songs like "Fields of Athenry" or "Carrickfergus".
I think we love Dave North stories and Dave North music, and I hope all you Trackers bring yer recovering selves to his concert, on the day after St Patrick's Day...see yez at the library.
~ THE MYSTERY PICKERS ~
Of course, the evening will be topped off, with yet another onslaught of the intrepid and amazingly talented artists, who step into the glare of the lime lite, to fearlessly perform a favorite song.
They just keep on getting better. If you wanna try it...just ask Cathy, Allen, or Jim (moi), and you'll be instantly included in the pantheon of pickers whom we know and love.
