TUNES BY THE TRACKS will be at the Clifton Springs library, on Wednesday, October 18th.
Your harmonious hosts, Jim Clare, Cathy McGrath, and Allen Hopkins are very pleased to welcome back a good friend and a Tracker favorite as our Feature:

~ FRED VINE ~

Fred Vine, http://www.fredvine.com/ is a singer and fingerstyle guitarist. He's also a master of "Piedmont" style and Delta bottleneck slide guitar. His versatile guitar repertoire is rich with traditional blues, compelling instrumentals and captivating songs.

Fred tells us that he'll be bringing son Alex as a guest and co-conspirator, and we recall from last year's show, they're great.
Fred and Alex include acoustic blues, jazz, original compositions, American Songbook and contemporary songs.
Fred's influences are rooted in bluesmen Rev. Gary Davis, Robert Johnson, Son House, Mississippi John Hurt, Jelly Roll Morton and certainly Chet Atkins.

Fred has several recordings to his credit. "Mister Freddy Blues" (a compendium of roots blues), "Crystal River Blues" (a mixed bag of jazz, blues and contemporary), "Cruising on the Belle" and "Genesee Delta Stomp", which showcases Fred's original music. As a seasoned performer, Fred has shared the stage with Muddy Waters, John Hammond, Guy Davis, Dave Van Ronk and many others.

wait, there's more:       ~ THE MYSTERY PICKERS ~

These folks have become a very special part of our shows.
It's not easy to get up and perform, but they ain't skeered, and they just keep on wowing us, with great stuff.
YOU can be a Mystery Picker...just axe Allen or Jim (me) and we'll sign you up, right on the spot.
